Note: All builder and trade contracts are engaged directly by you. HPBA acts as consultant and facilitator only.

Initial Consultation
Discuss your property, the goals of the renovation, and confirm service engagement.

Service Engagement
Formally engages our service and authorises us to act on your behalf. Initial site inspection fee payable on signing.

Initial Site Inspection
Personal visit to the property with a written report covering recommended improvements, likely impact on market value, and potential rental return uplift.

Planning & Design
Meetings with relevant third parties (builders, drafts people, trades) to develop the renovation plan including fixtures, fittings, colour palette, and floor plan layout.

Construction Visits
Regular weekly site visits with written progress updates and supporting photos while works are underway, and prior to each trades invoice being paid.

Final Renovation Review
Walk-through and handover inspection once all trades have completed works, ensuring the property meets the expected standard.
Timeline & Duration
For the best possible outcome, it’s always recommended that you have ownership of (or authority over) the property, a general idea of proposed works, and the ability to engage and pay trades directly.
Each renovation consultancy project varies by the scope of the work.
Our initial site inspection occurs shortly after engagement; while ongoing involvement runs in line with the renovation timeline.
Renovation Consultant Costs
Initial Site Inspection Fee:
$660 inc GST
(payable on engagement)
Final Renovation Consulting Fee:
15% inc GST of total trades invoices up to $100,000, then 5% on any amount above $100,000.
Final consulting fee payable on completion of works.
